Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the new Xpulse 450 at EICMA 2026 in Milan, marking its entry into the competitive middleweight adventure motorcycle segment. The new flagship adventure motorcycle is currently in the prototype stage, with the production-spec model expected to arrive in the second half of 2027.
The Xpulse 450 is powered by an all-new 421cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC, four-valve engine producing 46.6 PS at 9,100 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch.

With this new motorcycle, Hero is looking to expand beyond its traditional smaller-capacity adventure offerings. The Xpulse 450 will compete against established models such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure when it reaches production.
The motorcycle is built around an all-new perimeter frame and gets fully adjustable KYB 43mm USD front forks with 225mm of travel. The suspension offers 22-step compression and rebound damping adjustment, while the rear gets a linked monoshock with an identical 225mm wheel travel.
The Xpulse 450 rides on a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear cross-spoke wheel setup, underlining its off-road-focused character. It also gets 230mm of ground clearance, while the seat height stands at 848mm. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, with a four-piston front caliper and a single-piston rear caliper.
In terms of features, the new adventure motorcycle gets full LED lighting and a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. It also comes equipped with ride-by-wire throttle, multiple riding modes, switchable traction control, switchable dual-channel ABS and cruise control.
One of its important highlights is the integration of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay into the TFT display, a feature Hero claims as a segment-first for the motorcycle.
Developed with inputs from Hero MotoSports Team Rally, the Xpulse 450 benefits from the company's experience in international rally events, including the Dakar Rally, particularly in durability, suspension and handling.
Alongside the Xpulse 450, Hero MotoCorp also showcased its broader premium motorcycle portfolio at EICMA 2026, including the Harley-Davidson X350T, powered by a new 350cc air-oil-cooled engine and housed in a trellis frame.
